This fund has been established in honor of long term member and leader Pat Kuhlhoff of New Mexico for her unabated and committed efforts toward expanding youth and young adult education related to the Old Spanish Trail.
The Education Committee will accept proposals and applications that can include projects to:
- develop public school educational curricula related to the Old Spanish Trail;
- develop educational publications and digital applications for use in school settings;
- develop educational “traveling trunks” for loan to schools in teaching the history of the Trail;
- support college and university research through grants and scholarships;
- support college and university student internships for focused support of OSTA projects.
